TERMINOLOGY GUIDE

Membership Tiers

• High Council: The top seven specialest guys, the most important ones on the list. It takes a very strong ease of mindset to make it to the council, and additions are quite rare- it started as five, then grew to seven, and that's how it's stayed for a while.
• Senior Members: Anyone with a heightened level of importance, a particularly strong presence, or very detailed internal headcanons. (Aside from a certain duo who bullied their way in...)
• Junior Members: Generally speaking, the 'everyone else' tier. Anyone I don't have super strong feelings about winds up here... The difference between this and internship is certainty.
• Interns: The classic 'kinsidering' tier. It includes characters who I haven't read the source material yet to vet, characters who I'm too new to thinking about to say for certain, characters I can't be bothered to think about much right now, the occasional "which half of this ship am I kin with???", etc. Interns can be promoted directly to Junior or Senior, it doesn't matter.
• Legacy Members: Lapsed kintypes from childhood that I haven't been able to mentally resurrect. If I make an attempt, they'll probably spend a stint as an intern before either moving up or moving back to this list.
• Honorary Members: (michael afton voice) I should be kin with you... but I'm not... I might be someday, though. There's a few who love waffling between this tier and the interns list. (Looking at you, von Karma!)
• 'I'm Telling You, Man, They Don't Work Here': Were kintypes predictable based on one's personality or extant self, I'd reckon my list would look something like this. But they're not so it don't. Most 'pitykins' or 'assigned' characters end up here...

Subcommittees Explained

• The White-Haired Pretty Boys Collective: The original 'caroline kintype archetype'. Not a guaranteed identifier... but it's pretty reliable.
• The League of A-Named White-Haired Pretty Boys: Fun fact: these motherfuckers have unionized! Were it not for Aaravos, Azul and Azuma would not be Senior-tier. But they just haaaad to stay together...
• The White-Haired Pretty Girls Collective: Very small, somewhat reactionary clique that doesn't actually do much.
• The White-Haired Leagues Want Us So Bad It Makes Them Look Stupid, Inc.: Are you off-white and/or nonbinary? You're receiving their business cards in the mail daily until you pledge.
• The Fuckass Bob Squad: The second 'caroline kintype archetype'. Again, not a guaranteed identifier- this one's moreso 'the type of personality I'm likely to be kin with is the type of personality character designers usually assign this hairstyle'. See the design documents for Nahyuta, for example...
• The Board of Horrible Capitalists: hey anyone wanna tell me why this is one of my archetypes. hey anyone wanna t
• Hiveminds Anonymous: Not quite yet large enough to hold any social power... but their name was so good, I couldn't just reject the application. I'm a sucker for branding.
• Garnet Band: Anyone who does not play an instrument in canon, but does in one or more of my kinmemories/timelines.
• Gold Band: Anyone who does play an instrument in canon!
• Beta Club: Deputies, assistants, 'vice-'s, and all-around Second Guys.
• Sharpshooters Anonymous: Currently looking for a name that is a) better fitting and b) will placate the hiveminds against taking legal action.
• The Guys Who Are Like This: These coffeeshop songwriter losers refuse to get a better name.
• Unnamed Concerning Clique Forming In The Honorary Members: look at them
• The Legion of Red Flags: Anyone who raises eyebrows, questions, or hell, in any way they see fit.
• Console Exclusives: Anyone who I'm pretty certain I'm alone in being kin with due to obscurity of the source material or particular strangeness of the kintype.
• Shonen Rivals Support Group: See, there's a lot of overlap with the Fuckass Bob Squad. You get it. You're understanding.
• The Universal Set: Whenever I have two or more kintypes from the same thing, they end up here. Non-members do not count, or else the group would be much larger...
• Adults with Autism: 'nuff said
